WE MADE IT TO SC WOOT WOOT!!
Today was a whirlwind. I woke up at 3:50 am to get ready so we could be at the airport in time for our early flight. We found out our flight was delayed, and would be delayed about 3 times after that. It was a long day but one of those situations that are so out of our hands that you just keep smiling because it'll get better.
After exiting the plane, I looked at Kristy... who looked just a little uncomfortable. I just joked "How do you like that humidity?" She made a disgusted face and said "I feel so wet. Why am I sticky?" Gotta love the south.
I took the family to Grouchos, it's the tastiest sandwich place and I LOVE it. My mom of course got a salad, she asked for "Lite dressing" the cute teenage girl helping us looked a little confused and responded in her deep accent "We just have all fat." Gotta love the south.

CHARLESTON DAY 1
The family was a little slow to get going. A whole day of traveling the day before really wore them out.
We left Myrtle Beach and headed to Charleston. Charleston was my first area. We headed to Boone Hall plantation which is famous for being the site the notebook was filmed. It's also just incredibly historic and beautiful. The Oak trees leading up to the plantation are so magical. They were planted nearly 300 years ago and are stunning.
At the request of my dad, we went to a very famous barbecue place close to downtown Charleston! It really was super tasty, nobody quite hummed over their food like my dad did though.
Tuesday night is English class night. I dragged my family along to visit some of the members and to see my sweet Hermana Champlin.
Bobby was volunteered to play the hare in the little gullah performance. This lady was a hoot and we all learned so much!
I am standing straight up in this picture!! Can you believe that?
A true southern meal. We enjoyed mac and cheese, fried chicken, chicken bog, chicken gizzards, etc.
My sweet Hermana Champlin.
Hermana Brenchly, Jose, Phelippe, Elder Mar, Hermana Champlin, and Jorge.

Myrtle Beach.. AMY arrives.
It was a very chill day. We tried to go to the beach but the weather wasn't really permitting because it was sooo windy. The joy of today was watching my family experience the classiness of downtown Myrtle Beach.
We had lunch with Dave and Loralee and sweet Sophie. It was so so fun! Sophie was so shy at lunch, and that all changed by the time we went to the church that night. She was everywhere!
Having everyone together was seriously magical. There is always a special feeling when the four of us are united.
This night at the church was such a sacred time. My family met David, Pablo, Jeremy, the whole Latham crew and some of the other members. David and Pablo decided that they wanted to say a few words. I did not feel worthy of such praise, I am so humbled that God allowed me to serve with such special people. I always felt like I just tried to do my best... somehow that was enough. David mentioned "She doesn't realize that she saved my life. To me, she is an angel in the flesh." I was so touched but kept thinking, Oh David, He has no idea how important he's been to my life.
My Princess Sophie.
Two of my favorite people, Pablo and David.
We really broke Sophie out of her shell.

Chuck town day 2.
We went all around Charleston, just a nice little walking tour! I was the guide, I was exhausted by the end. Everything is historical.
We finished early in Charleston and headed back to Myrtle Beach to the legendary MINI GOLF COURSES!!!!
24 May 2019 Friday
Today was one of the most blissful days. AMY'S B-DAY! We went golfing in the morning at a cute little par 3 course. Dave latham came with us and it was so so fun!! We also went to the beach and spent the whole day with the Latham crew. It was so so fun!!
We had a BBQ at the Latham's house. On our way home we were reminded that it is Black bike week. We looked to our left and were gifted with something dreadful... Two huge butts. People were riding on their motorcycles in very minimal clothing. We were all dying!!

Today's highlights: people and tacos. It was a big driving day but also the best day because we saw some awesome people.
President and Sister Innes. My family kept looking at me so surprised because they were already up to date on my life. The Innes and I stay in contact and talk on the phone all the time. Felt so good to see them.
Hite's and Tilley's. It's been so long since I have seen those sweet families. Both are huge examples of what I want my future family to be like.
Robert. He looked so good. He was a complete crack up. He kept making jokes and laughing. He really did look a lot more positive than I remember. He went to church a couple weeks ago!
I also got to introduce Heaven to the family. Acapulco tacos. Bobby wanted to propose to the chef.

This was by far one of my favorite days!! We went to church and it made my heart leap out of my chest with joy. I was asked to share my testimony during church. After church we went to a little sunday fiesta with Faby, Ingrid, Marcos, Angel, and Eduardo, along with the Segura family and the Chavez. It was awesome and just really felt like my worlds were colliding.
