New word of the week: Escalofriante

HOLAAAAA
Last week for P-day, we went to downtown Greenville. It was so pretty. They've got this big park and waterfall in the middle of the city. It was a lot of fun and we loved it. So if I didn't email some of y'all back.. That was why. Lo siento mucho.
This last week, the group planned a Cinco de Mayo fiesta. It's actually a very funny story. When we had first got here (5 months ago), they were talking about the events for the year and when the Hispanic group would be in charge of a ward activity. They wanted to do it sometime in May. Bishop Kitchen just raved about how perfectly it worked out to have it on Cinco de Mayo. The group leader broke the news to him and told him that they don't celebrate that in Mexico. Bishop Ktichen wasn't convinced and decided it was the best day anyway. But it was a huge success!! We had 9 investigators and several potentials come, we also had several less active members! The Hispanic members were so happy and they all came out to support it.  It got all the members very excited and united them a lot. It was so much fun! Ahhhh it was quite the exciting night. One of our investigators came and he's... gotten a little too friendly with me. Last Sunday, he gave me a gift at church, and then has just said some things that were a little questionable. Hermana Jensen never really liked him, she told me that my "creepy radar" is a little off. Whenever anyone saw him talking to me, I was always quickly rescued by others there. Well. safe to say we are passing him off to the Elders. We talked to one of the members later and she taught us a new word. Escalofriante- Creepy.
We had a member family have us over for a family home evening last Monday with their cousins that are not members. We taught them the Plan of Salvation and they had a lot of questions. We got a permanent invite to their family night to help teach their cousins! The cousins also came to the fiesta!!
I had the wonderful chance to go on exchanges this week with Sister Nordby. We saw lots of little exchange miracles. It was awesome to be in their area because that is part of our area that we don't frequently explore. It was cool because we knocked a whole street and found a Hispanic lady who was willing to have us back. If we hadn't been on exchanges that day we wouldn't have found her. It was also fun because they have bikes!!! It was so much fun to ride around and we got to meet some cool people doing that. Freeeeeedom from the car was oh so sweet.
We got good news at Zone Conference!! They changed the rules and now we will be able to attend the temple as a mission!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!!! If that's not the best news I've gotten I don't know what is! For the musical number I sang with a couple of other missionaries. We sang "I Feel My Saviors Love." We sang the last verse in Spanish which just made me so happy because it is so pretty.
I know the church is true! I am glad that I get to share it with others and love the people here. I am going to finish the Book of Mormon again this week. It really is the word of God and I know it's teachings are true. Have the best week!!!

Con mucho amor
