¡Feliz
Año Nuevo!
Well this morning I woke up to the New Year. Wahooo!! Last night for New
Year ’s Eve we went to a member of the stake presidency and we hate treats and
played games. When we got home there was a New Year’s surprise.....SNOW!!!!!!!
I realized the south has rubbed off on me and the literal glistening of
snow...not even enough to remotely stick... was so dramatic! It was like OH MY
GOSH... what do we do? We are in South Carolina... why is there snow???
Well along with the snow it has been
freezing this week. If you want to understand just check the weather here in
Boiling Springs. It is colder than Utah I'm sure of it!! Just add
humidity.
Thursday we had Spanish conference. So all the Spanish missionaries in
the mission meet together and discuss the work. It's like zone conference...
but just for Spanish speaking missionaries. It's awesome and I really felt like
I learned so much more about what I can do to help the area and what I can do
to be better myself!
This Saturday we went to Hermana Ramos. She's from El Salvador. She's
awesome and has taken it upon herself to take care of the missionaries. So
every Saturday we go to her house and eat Papusas. It's up there on best things
I have eaten here on the mission. I was nervous because the Elders before us
told us that you never get out of her house before eating at least 5
Papusas.... But I think she saw me struggling on the 2nd one and let me tap out
after my 3rd. She has a cute granddaughter that we are going to start doing
Personal Progress with!!
I am so grateful for this last year. It has been probably the biggest
growing experience I have had. I have learned so much more about what I want
from life and how to get there. I love being a missionary!!! It is so much fun.
It is really hard and gets exhausting... but I just have grown so much and I am
so happy so it's all worth it!!
Have the happiest New Year!!!
Con Mucho Amor

Don't be alarmed by the picture...those 3 missionaries are going home after this transfer...so in mission life they are dying. |
