Fiesta & Conference

Tuesday we had a 2nd churro miracle. Crecencio came to English class and brought churros for everyone. Last week for the spiritual thought after English class, we decided to teach everyone how to pray in English and in Spanish. They loved it and he actually said the closing prayer. We ran into him trying to contact a former member so he's been a really cool blessing.
Down in the south, all of the English missionaries get a lot of Bible referrals. (People request a free Bible online). We really wanted to see if we could get some people so we started advertising it on a couple of Hispanic Facebook pages. WE GOT A REFERRAL!!!!!! His name is Emmanuel and he is so so cool. We had two lessons with him this week and he is such a nice guy and just wants to know what he can do better in his life and wants to get to God.
I was so grateful for Spanish conference and General Conference. Does a weekend get any better?
Friday we had Spanish conference!!! I always love seeing all the Spanish missionaries because it's just so fun to bond over all our areas and people we've all taught. Friday was especially fun because we had a FIESTAAAAA. Imagine it. 100 Hispanics, food, and lots of music. It was so so fun!!! I got to see a bunch of my favorite people from Charleston and the Colecios and Melissa came from Spartanburg!!!!! My inner Latina was dancing the salsa and listening to the music. My outer gringa told me it was a bad idea and unlike Shakira my hips sometimes lie, and my mission President told me all dancing wasn't allowed. Soo I sat and watched all the Hispanics dance and talked to so many new cool people. :)
I love General Conference. I was so grateful to sustain our prophet and made sure to raise my hand high so the heavens could take note of it. I hope that y'all got to watch conference, if not then go back and watch and study and listen!! Sunday morning, we had one of our potential investigators come to the church to watch conference. We knew he was coming and called the Garcias, the Ramirez’s, and Hermano Soza. We had to make sure it looked bumpin. We've never actually had the chance to teach Crecencio. He always just comes to English class so we were sure he left with a lot of questions but it was so so good!!!! While watching conference the biggest impression that I felt was just the need to build our testimonies and strengthen our ability to receive revelation and feel the Holy Ghost more in my life. It reminded me of the scripture "When you are converted, strengthen your brethren." When we have that strong testimony, we can more readily be the life line for other people. I am going to make sure that I set more time aside to ponder and take time to interpret and recognize the prompting of the spirit and the revelation I am receiving for myself and my investigators. Saturday night we had our dinner hour very last. So we went to Acapulco, got some tacos, sat outside the office and watched some of the Priesthood session. I mean have you seen a better picnic?
Sunday we got to watch conference and spend Easter with some members. We had lunch with two cute families and then for the afternoon session we went to Melissa’s. We frosted cookies with her kids and it was great.
Today we had a district P-day and played corn hole. I will have y'all know that by some miracle I am the reining champ.
I hope y'all have the best week and that you can listen to conference again and notice the ways that Christ is reaching out to you.
