HOLAAAAAAAAAA y'all

I am really excited to be in Boiling Springs. I love this area. I really am glad to be with Hermana Jensen still. We are really similar and so it really is doesn't bother me to be the Junior companion still. The only thing about staying in this area again is that Hermana Jensen is going home at the end of this transfer. I don't think President Innes is going to white wash us out, which means I will stay AGAIN!!! And that'll make that a lot of time in this area hahahha. It is also hard to be in the same area with the same companion for so long just because we have exhausted a lot of our ideas on finding. It's hard because not only do you have to find the people that are interested, but you have to find the Hispanics!!! I mean we can knock anywhere but if there isn't a lot of Hispanics there we are just finding people that we would have to pass off to other missionaries. It's a hunt.
We both get to do an equal amount of the work. She is the senior comp but it's mainly only in her ability to speak Spanish that we aren't completely equal. So, we do a good job at balancing. There are still just 8 Hermanas in our mission. Hermana Jensen and Hermana Daniels go home at the end of this transfer and we will get 2 trainees. Hermana Bowers goes home the following transfer and we get another trainee. President Innes raised the Hermana compliment so we should be getting more coming soon. I think he would like to zebra some of the Hermanas but that is best to do when we have an odd number. I get so used to the missionary slang that I don't remember that not everyone speaks that way. “Zebra” is one English Missionary and one Spanish Missionary. They just did a zebra companionship in Greenville.  It'll be really good for that area. And what is cool about it is they can teach EVERYONE.
This week was much better than the last. I just felt a lot better and things went smoother I think. We have had a lot of time to find. #findingallday Before transfers, we were working a lot with Robert and "other" investigators that we have taught for a long time but haven't completely progressed. We decided to start fresh and just try and find some new people who are ready to learn. We did a lot of knocking, A lot. We found a couple of great people but then they weren't home when we came for our return appointment. We are going to make sure to contact them again this week. We met this cute lady named Carmen and she's alone in the USA with her daughter who turns 8 in a couple weeks. She told us her story and she is just so cute and we are excited to teach her.
We tried some new Facebook finding and we got to talk to a lot of new people that live in the area. Facebook finding is interesting. People will respond to us, but then it usually takes a weird turn. They just really want to take us on dates and it's weird. We aren't trying to slide into your DM's, we are trying to convert you lol.
Thursday was Crescencio’s Birthday. We went over that morning because he really wanted to cook for us and celebrate his day. We went over and he stuffed us full of carne asada, cactus, tortillas, and cebolla. We ate like kings. Well not really like kings.. We ate everything with tortillas as silverware but that's to be expected. They say it tastes better with your hands. That night we had a fun little English Class party. It was Aurora and Crescencio's Birthday and so we had a quick class where we taught them how to sing a couple of songs in English (Like Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, and Happy Birthday.) Then we had cake and food and just talked with everyone. It was really nice. I have eaten more tres leches in this area then I have eaten any other cake in my entire life.
MILAGRO. This last week, we really felt like we needed to go to Simpsonville to try and contact some of the people we had there. We have tried to focus in on the close surrounding area but really felt like we needed to go. While we were there, we met a man named Javier. He is from Mexico but was living in Oregon. When we told him we were from Utah he said "Oh my gosh.. Hey that's where the uhhh Mormon's are at!!!" "WE'RE THE MORMONS!!!" He was all surprised but then told us how beautiful Utah is and how he loves it. He told us how a couple years ago he was passing through Utah on a bus ride and saw the Salt Lake Temple. He was really curious about it and made it a goal to go back and figure out what it is about. So when he was moving to South Carolina, he made it a point to pass through Utah. He stayed for like a month and visited Temple Square. He told us all about how he saw the Christus statue in the visitor’s center and how he's got all these pictures by the temple. He asked us a little about our beliefs and then said "I've got questions." He lives in Simpsonville (an hour away from where we live but still in our area) and we can't go out there frequently because of miles, then MILAGRO he says that he can't really meet us here because he's living with some people who are Catholic but would love if we could meet him by his work. in WELLFORD. 15 MINUTES AWAY from where we live. He was just a mega miracle and super cool. We are really excited about Javier.
Well on a different note, it has been raining for like 24 hours straight. It rains and it really does just pour. FOREVER. It has gotten to be so green here. It looks like in “Finding Nemo” where he clogged the filter and just looks like green threw up all over the place, in like a pretty way. Our car even gets covered in it because of the pollen. We have a constant thick layer of pollen on the car.
Well I hope y'all have the best week full of lots of happiness. I really love this area. I am hoping that we can get the work to pick up again and we can find lots of new cool people. Prayers. I love being a missionary. It is so hard but it is so fun. I love getting to meet so many new people and help them find a lot of happiness in their lives. I know the church is true and I love sharing it with everyone.

Con Mucho Amor
