El Rey David

Hola y'alll
Well this week was great and God just loves us a lot.
David. Literally I could stop there. Maybe I will. Anyway, he is awesome. I have never taught anyone like him. He is so so open to the gospel and God just prepared him so well. He's on date for September when his mom comes in but we might try and get him baptized earlier. He's made so many life changes in the last couple years and just waited for the gospel. He's honestly just a sponge and soaks it all up and then actually applies it. He came with his Book of Mormon to our lesson and just went through all the things he learned and loved and it was so sweet. He'd find something he'd highlighted and then look at us like "That's good stuff huh?" "Yep David, you're totally right."
Last night, we had a noche de Hogar with all the Spanish speakers in the area. We just talked and discussed what the game plan would be to help the Spanish group grow and be better. We got so many ideas and David was chiming in on what he thought and so that was all neat. (Literally I just think David is the coolest.)
Other exciting things
Well we had Zone conference this week which is always great!
We also met this guy Randy. He ordered a Bible online and we were delivering it. Wow, he was such a humble guy. We originally couldn't find his house but everyone that lived on the street helped us out and directed us there. He's such a humble guy. He's got some grandkids that live with him but a couple of his kids had died in an accident and his wife. He was so sweet though and so ready to just do something that will bring him joy. The spirit was so strong in his home and it was one of those moments where you just open your mouth and it's filled. I just testified that nothing will bring him as much joy as the gospel, and that this path he's starting is where he needs to be, and that it will lead him to a place where he can live with his family forever. It was so powerful and all of us just were amazed walking out how strong the spirit was in his home.
Also Saturday was a funny day. Hermana Jensen has been traveling with her family so she came to visit! Oh my. I don't think my heart could have been happier. 6 months with a person 24/7 will really bond you with someone lol.
That same day... Ahhh... Y'all gotta love the south and missionary work. All of our appointments cancelled so we were just walking all day. Pretty much I wore a dress that probably isn't great with the heat. If you’re gonna be wearing light blue.. don't wear it on a 95-degree day in the sun. I was honestly sweating more than ever, like dripping sweat while contacting people. Tacos all the way to Mexico. Sorry it was just so hot and a little mortifying. Also Saturday we went to visit Pablo he fed us hot pasole. Ahhh it was delicious. But hot. Everything was hot.
Anyway, I love being a missionary. We just see so many miracles. I feel so blessed to be part of such a cool work. God is good y'all!!!
