Do you see what I see?

Hey how are y'all?
Being a missionary is so funny. One day everything falls through and you are out trying to find anyone that will listen to you, and then the next you have lesson after lesson. It is kinda a roller coaster ride. But I am loving it!! This week there was just a lot of funny and awkward stuff that happened. We have had to shift our focus from a lot of the investigators that we really love just because they have kinda hardened their hearts to us a little bit. We are working with Edith a
lot and we just love her. She is like a mission mom and makes bomb tortillas. I have never seen someone want to know and do what God wants more than her. She is trying so hard. It is really, really cool. We hope that we can start working with her esposo and get him back to church.
This week, we really tried to focus on being wherever God needed us to be. We felt like we should go visit one of the less active members. We went to his house and he was so friendly! We all must have been really in tune because 15 minutes later the Elders went to visit the same
guy. But it alllll worked out.
There's something about food that just bonds people am I right? This week we got to eat with several of the members and it was awesome. We got to share a message in their homes and even celebrate some birthdays. Yandell turned 11 and we got some tasty tres leches and tacos.
Storyyyyyyy time. This week, we did some finding in a trailer park in Spartanburg. It is a whole trailer park of Hispanics! It's awesome. Well on Wednesday it was so sunny and we had lots of people outside washing cars or relaxing and lots of people to talk to. While we are
walking these 2 dogs just A line to us and start going after Hermana Jensen. They were just little weird mutt Chihuahua's but were going after her ankles. Hermana Jensen grabs her tablet and has the most fierce look of her face. She was about to send these dogs to the nextlife. Luckily for the dogs, they ran away while they still had the chance. Like a good companion, I just watched and laughed. Don't worry. No animals were harmed (The missionaries are okay too.)
Next day! Same trailer park walking around again. Not as many people were outside and we had to leave because we had an appointment. We are walking up this slant to the car and up above I just see something beaming; like some sort of light or white something. As it gets
closer I start to notice what it is. I look over at Hermana Jensen to make sure that she's seeing what I am seeing. We're both in awe as this huge white man drives his electric chair around the
block...naked. (As he got closer we were grateful to discover underwear.) We were walking towards him and him towards us so he stopped and talked to us. It was such a nice day, Gerald said he was just trying to get some vitamin D. Me too Gerald...Me too. After leaving we are driving to the Colecio's for Yandel's birthday. We see all these motorcycles and four wheelers going around in the area. We stop at a stop sign and there is this woman on her four wheeler (Just completely redneck. Hair flowing in the wind). It was like a slow motion shot. We looked at each other again just like..."where are we?"
Saturday morning, there was a big litter cleanup that we went to help out with near a lake in Inman. There were a whole bunch of us. We had our orange vests on and went to work. I think we looked like convicts. But hey at least it is cleaner now.
Another story just for kicks. Today for P-Day, we went to Gravitopia (Trampoline park). We are literally jumping on the tramps on our way out. Hermana Jensen and Sister Larsen bounce at the same time and Hermana Jensen is down. She did something to her ankle. We had to ice
it and carry her out. We had to grab something at the mall so I got to push Hermana Jensen in a wheelchair. It's going to be an interesting week folks. To be continued...
Well I hope y'all know how much I love you. I pray for y'all every day and hope life is treating you well. I am glad it finally snowed.
Meanwhile in South Carolina we had 80 degree weather last week and it was soooo wonderful. I love being a missionary. It is so hard and I get stressed sometimes but I love that I can share my testimony with people every day. I know the Church is true and I know that we can do anything with Christ.

Have a blessed week.

Con mucho amor
