Happy
Fall Y'all
Holaaaa amigos.
This week was awesome and just full of so many miracles! I mean there is
always miracles, we just had them again this week.
ELDER BEDNAR came to our mission. That was amazing. The Spirit was so
strong during the conference and it was amazing to see the spirit that they
hold. The apostles really are called of God!! He opened it up to a Q&A and
let people ask questions. It was really amazing to watch the Spirit guide his
answers. We talked a lot about letting go, and giving our will up to God. It is
something I am really working on and just learned so much! Elder and Sister
Costa also came. One of the things that hit me most was the example of Sister
Bednar and Sister Costa. I saw the light and the testimonies that they also
carried and just want to be like them!
Jose Luis accepted a baptismal date!! We might have to push it back a
little bit but that was such a huge step for him to even recognize that was
what he wanted to do. It also rained and was really cold this week, which made
it so we were able to visit lots of people who are never home! wahoo.
Yesterday, we were out making several contacts and we met this really
awesome former investigator. He was so interested and told us, "You came a
year ago and taught me about Jose Smith and never came back!!" He was
really excited we were there. Ya know sometimes it is hard to connect to people
you meet, they like things that you've never heard of. Tito, was different. His
passion was food, same. We bonded over food and a love for Jesus.
We also met Carlos. He has met with missionaries in the past and a
couple months ago was praying and has been trying to get in contact with
missionaries ever since! He ran into the English Sisters and when we came to
talk to him He was practically bouncing around the room he was so excited we
were there. I felt like a celebrity and maybe should have done a nice royalty
walk, just kidding. We talked about the gospel and it was honestly really
powerful because he's been searching for this in his life!!!!
On Saturday, there was a baptism in the English ward, his name is
Antonio. He's from Puerto Rico but his family doesn't speak Spanish. We just
went to support! They had another baptism at the same time and it was...
interesting. We had a couple of people we are teaching and returning members
who came which was awesome, but the baptism was insane!! The sweet lady that
was getting baptized fell when she was getting into the font, and also has a
fear of being under water. I will leave the rest up to your own imaginations....
Don't worry, it all worked out and she was so happy afterwards.
I know that God lives and he loves us. He always sends his angels to
help us and guide us. I love being a missionary.
Con mucho amor
